Some shows are appointment listening, and on KLSR 105.3 FM that show is the Oldies Time Machine. Saturdays from 8 to 10AM, Dan Donavan rolls back the clock to the rock and roll of the 1950s and '60s, and the request line at (806) 259-3511 lights up from the first song.
It is more than a playlist. Listeners call in dedications for anniversaries, for a sweetheart from high school, for a parent who used to spin these same 45s at home. Dan reads them on the air and drops the needle, and for a couple of hours the Rolling Plains sounds like a sock hop.
Oldies around the clock
If two hours is not enough, KLSR plays oldies 24/7, so the music is there whenever you want it. But there is something about the live Saturday show, with real requests and real stories, that a stream of songs just cannot match.
